At times you may find me distant. This is because I oscillate. Medical names for this oscillation tend to correspond with the frequency of this fluctuation, bi polar disorder and cyclothymia are common examples. There is remote possibility that I could prevent this oscillation. This possibility is expensive, time consuming, and irrelevant. My oscillation permits me to transition people. Without transition, without change, life would not be. I belong in the very sense that I share no sense of belonging.

This is not a negation of friendship, this is self realization.
